[Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.]

You have heard it said that ‘as long as we are in this body, we will always sin… we will be sick.. ” This is NOT in the Bible, this is humanistic teaching which inteprets the Word of God based on human experience. The Word of God is not to be interpreted by human experience, we use the Word of God to change human experience. From the Bible, Jesus completely conquered the power of sin. Our opening verse clearly declares “For sin shall not have dominion over you..” Sin has no dominion over you for Jesus destroyed the power of sin completely. Sickness came as a result of sin so if Jesus destroyed the power of sin then similarly He destroyed the power of sickness. So sickness too has no dominion over you. No matter what you are struggling with, just believe the Word of God and begin to affirm it. In the world we are told don’t deny just accept the condition and manage it. From the word of God, we are told “make no provision for the flesh.” (Rm 13:14). Make no provision for sickness. Don’t accept sickness in your body. Begin to declare the Word over your body, don’t just submit to evil, begin to declare “sin has no dominion over me, sickness has no dominion over me, this condition has no dominion over me… I make no provision for sickness…. For Jesus destroyed its power over my life…” Sooner or later, the Word of God will prevail and your body will realign to the Word.

*[John 6:50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.]*

Have you been diagnosed with a terminal or incurable condition? There is hope – the bread of life. When you partake of this bread of life, you will never die. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the bread of life. He declared in our opening verse He is the bread of life that came down from heaven, and everyone who partakes of this bread shall never die. How is Jesus the bread of life? In verse 63, He said “.. the words that I speak are spirit and life.” So the words from the mouth of Jesus are spiritual food. In other words, just as the physical bread nourishes the physical body, His words are spiritual food that produces and sustains the spiritual life. Anyone who partakes of His Words receives this spiritual food for the spirit life and the spiritual life can never die. So if you are going to eat the Words of Jesus that partains to life, you can never die. He said in John 5:24 “He who hears My words.. And believes.. has eternal life… has passed from death to life.” So study and meditate on the words of Jesus, especially the gospel of John and most importantly believe – many read but they don’t believe. For instance John 3:16 says whoever believes in Him has eternal life and shall not perish. Some people read this and still believe the medical report that says they have terminal condition and are perishing. When you believe the report over the words of Jesus you have refused to eat the bread of life. But if you believe the Words of Jesus over the medical report, you have eaten the bread of life and you will not die. So eat the bread of life, study and believe the words of Jesus, and your spirit life will be nourished and prevail over every condition and you shall live.

John 3:16, John 5:24, John 8:51, John 10:17-18.

[John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.]

The outcome of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is outstanding. He made it possible for mankind to receive the Holy Spirit of God! When you believed in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit of God came to dwell in you. Our opening verse says It is this Holy Spirit that now gives us life. So the life in you is not the natural life, it is the spirit life of the Spirit of God. So you have a supernatural life. You don’t have to fear anything. You don’t have to submit to evil. The life in you is supernatural. It’s indestructible. It is the Spirit life of the living God. This is the same life that is in Christ. It makes you to prevail over sickness and over all kinds of evil. Acknowledge and affirm this reality. That the Holy Spirit giveth you the supernatural spirit life of the living God. Don’t let anything persuade you away from this truth. And you will live in dominion dominating the circumstances of this life, glory to God.

[1 Corinthians 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.]

Discipline is defined as self imposed standards for the sake of achieving a higher goal. Spiritual Disciplines are self imposed spiritual habits for the purpose of fostering spiritual growth. Without discipline, you can never achieve anything. Without spiritual discipline, you can never grow spiritually. Paul in our opening verse says “I discipline my body lest… I should.. be disqualified.” Without discipline, you will lose track. Discipline is something you do whether you feel like or not, whether it rains or not. Everyone in the Bible who was serious with God practiced spiritual disciplines. Daniel prayed 3 times a day. Isaac went to the fields to meditate in the evenings. These are examples of spiritual disciplines. Jesus practiced spiritual disciplines – He would leave multitudes and go to pray at specific times. This the discipline of prayer. You set times for prayer & whether U feel like or u don’t when that time comes U go to pray. There is the Discipline of studying the Word, Discipline of Fasting etc. Today is our Consecration Friday where we review our walk with the Lord and make adjustments. This week, how have been your prayer life? Have U been studying the Word? Check your spiritual life and make some serious decisions. Remember, your spiritual life is the core of your life. If your spiritual life dies, you are sunk especially in our perverted generation. Commit yourself to prayer and Fasting and let’s meet in the evening for prayers.

As we step into a new month the Lord is propelling you to the next level of your life. You will do great things and exert dominion over opposition. You will prevail over every opposing force and establish God’s purpose for your life. For it’s a season for change. Every small effort you make the Lord will magnify it into great outcome. Every lost opportunity will be restored. For we serve a God of second chance. Let your faith arise, dream big, give yourself to God’s Word, and watch your life explode into new dimensions.

[Philemon 1:6KJV: That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.]

Do u want to effective in your Christian life and make an impact for Christ? Our opening verse tells us how – you must acknowledge every good thing that is in you. One of the truth that you must acknowledge is the reality of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you. The believers at Corinth were having problems in their Christian walk, some were even struggling with gross immorality. So Paul asked them in

1 Corinthians 3:16 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” Paul was helping them to acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in them because this is key to living a victorious Christian life. If you have a gift but you don’t acknowledge it, you don’t value it and you ignore it, that gift will never help you. So you have the gift of the Holy Spirit in you. John 14:16-17 AMP reveals He is your Helper and strengthener, but if you don’t acknowledge His presence in you, you can never experience His strength. So always acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in U. Never confess failure, confusion or helplessness because when you do, you surpress His power in you. Confess His presence, His strength, His wisdom and the expression of your Christian life will be effective and Impactful.

[2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.]

The Christian life is a life of faith. We are saved through faith (Eph 2:8), our faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit by faith(Gal 3:14), and our opening verse says we walk by faith and not by sight. This simply means we walk by faith in the Word of God and not by human senses. Where our human senses contradicts the Word of God, we choose to believe and affirm the Word regardless of our human senses. Remember, Satan controls and manipulates people’s lives and decisions by controlling their human senses. So if you allow your human senses to control your life, you will never prevail. So choose to walk by faith. No matter what you feel, believe the Word, affirm the Word for this is the only way you will live in dominion.

[Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, But who can bear a broken spirit?]

Many people ignore their spirit life not knowing the danger. Our opening verse reveals if sickness attacks your body, it is the strength of your spirit that will determine if you come out or not. The Wiseman says *”the spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness..”* So if your spirit is weak, you will be overwhelmed by the sickness. The enemy knows this that is why when someone begins to grow spiritually, the enemy even gives them a job on Sunday to make sure they stop growing spiritually. For this reason, for those who work on Sundays and don’t go to church I pray for you God will open another door for you. Seek God until you get a job that can give you time to attend church and build your spirit. For the enemy is setting a trap for you – keep U too busy for spiritual growth to weaken your spirit and then release sickness on you. Find a way of growing spiritually for it will save your life. I pray for you that your spirit will keep growing stronger such that if sickness come you will stand. If you are sick now please try as much as possible to hear the Word of God from anointed ministers who are filled with the Holy Spirit. If you listen to religious leaders speaking their mind it will never help you. For everyone else, take responsibility for feeding your spirit, for in sickness, the Spirit will pull you through if it is strong no matter the condition.
