*Genesis 2:16: And the Lord God COMMANDED THE MAN, SAYING that , “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;*

Genesis 2:7 clearly reveals God gave mankind His own divine life. This divine life made Adam to be above death. Notice in Genesis 2:17, God said “if you eat of the tree you will surely die.” This means as long as Adam lived by holding on to the “sayings” of God, death had no power over him. If death had no power over him, obviously sickness also had no power over him. This is called the divine life. The divine life is the life of God. Sickness and disease and even death has no power over this life of God. When you received Jesus Christ, you received this life. However, many believers don’t know how to live this life. Genesis 2:16 says “the Lord COMMANDED the man SAYING. ..” This means divine life is lived by the COMMANDS and the SAYINGS of God or simply put, THE WORD OF GOD. Divine Life is lived by living the Word. Man was created to live by the Word of God. Jesus said *”Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”*(Mathew 4:4). As long as Adam lived by the Word, he was above sickness and even death. However, Genesis 3:4 says “And the serpent SAID to the woman.” Satan brought another word. Unfortunately, man rejected God’s word and chose Satans word and consequently lost the divine life which marked the beginning of all the suffering today. This means any believer can choose to live the divine life by simply choosing to live by the Word of God.
