PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE

DIVINE LIFE DEVOTIONAL: PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE:

[2 Peter 1:4 “….you may be PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.]

As a believer, if you settle down at the human level, suffering like everyone else, it’s out of choice. Our opening verse reveals God has made it possible for us to become partakers of His divine nature. This means God has made it possible for you to ascend into the realms of divinity and function in the god class. Plsam 24:3 says “Who shall ascend into the mountain of the Lord..” Who shall believe God and ascend into the divine realms and become a partaker of the Divine Nature of God? God is calling every believer to arise. It’s impossible to live above the evils in our day if we hold on to the human nature and reject the divine nature. Choose to become a partaker of the divine nature. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit.

AUTHORITY OVER LIFE & DEATH IN CHRIST

DIVINE LIFE DEVOTIONAL: AUTHORITY OVER LIFE & DEATH IN CHRIST:

[John 10:18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”]

Our Lord Jesus in the above verses clearly revealed His authority over life and victory over death. He said no one & nothing could take His life from Him – This is a declaration of His authority over His own life.

Jesus had absolute authority over His own life. He said no one & equally nothing could take it from Him. No sickness, whether curable or incurable could take away His life.

Not even the Jews who wanted to kill Him could take away His life. For Him to be crucified, He willingly laid down His life. In John 18:6, He demonstrated He had the power to destroy all who came to arrest Him for kill Him. He simply spoke words to them saying “I AM HE” and His words threw them flat to the ground!! This means He could have simply spoken words of destruction over them and they would all have died and never arrested Him. So He had absolute authority over His life. They could not take it from Him. He only submitted Himself to them willingly because He had to lay down His life for you and I to have eternal life.

Do you know even you you have authority over your life? You have power to say like Jesus “No one and nothing takes away my life from me.” This is because at salvation you received the life that was in Christ(1 John 5:11-12). So refuse to simply submit to sickness, whether curable or incurable. In Christ, You have power over your life. You release this power through words. Speak words of life over your body. Don’t just be carried along by the circumstances of life. Speak what you want to see in your life and your life will go the direction of your words. For through Christ, you have absolute authority over your life and nothing can take it from you, glory to God.

THE INHERENT DIVINE LIFE IN YOU

DIVINE LIFE DEVOTIONAL: THE INHERENT DIVINE LIFE IN YOU:

[John 5:26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.]

JESUS said in our opening just as the Father has life in Himself so He has granted the same life in His Son. So the same life in God is the same life in Jesus. The word “life” here is “Zoe” which means the Spirit life of the living God. This is he divine life, not the human life. 1 John 5:12 says He who receives the son of God receives the same life in Him. So when we received Christ as our Lord and Savior, we received this divine life. So as a believer you have the divine life. You are a partaker of the divine nature of God. You are not ordinary. You are supernatural, superior to sickness, superior to death, superior to sin, superior to depression, glory to God!!

CRY TO GOD TO HELP YOU DISCOVER YOUR DIVINE NATURE

I have met people who say, “I have gone to churches, there is nothing I don’t know about church..” Or “I have read the Bible, these is nothing I don’t know..” They have no idea what they are talking about. They think they can understand Christianity with their mind, they think Christianity is a religion just like any other. They think they have mastered Christianity. They are a thousand times wrong. You will never know what Christianity is with your mind. So you will think you know everything, yet you have only touched a tip of the iceberg. Christianity is the nature of God in man, it is divinity in humanity! This can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 1:4 above tells us the ultimate goal of Christianity is to become *”.. partakers of the divine nature”* – this is big! No intellectual mind can grasp this, so you have to cry to God to reveal to you this divine truth. If you are feeling you are tired of going to church because you think you have exhausted everything in Christianity, here is the next level for you – begin to seek God to reveal to you your divine nature and you will discover you have not began the Christian journey yet. Thro Christ, God has made it possible for every believer to become a partaker of the Divine Nature, but it is up to us to discover, and through faith establish this level. This is the place where Mark 16:17-18 says “even when they drink deadly poison, it will not harm them…!” This is where the medical test says you are HIV+ and yet you cannot die… You have discovered your divine nature! Discover your divine nature and live the supernatural life.. glory to God!.

Everything You Need For Life Is Already Available:

2 Peter 1:3

“as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,”

When we are born again, we are born of God and therefore we receive the spirit life of God. So the Bible commands us to live the spirit life. The spirit life is a life of rest in Christ. The spirit life is a life of dominion. In the spirit, we live for God and therefore everything we need for life and for our God-given purpose has been provided for. Our opening verse says God *”has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness”*.God has already made available everything we need for this life. It is like when you leave home going to town. Before you leave your house, the street you will walk on is already there. The parking lot is already there. The restaurant you will go for lunch is already there. While in your house you cannot see them but they are already there. When you get there you will find them there. In the same way, everything you need for life is already there. As you walk on the street of divine life you will just walk into it as God has everything worked out for you. Don’t live a life of trying to get what you already have. You have divine life. You have divine health. You have divine wealth. Begin to affirm you have them. Don’t live a need based Christianity, live for God confidently knowing He has everything worked out for you. At the right moment as long as you keep walking in His word, you will just walk into it, glory to God. Without this mentality, the enemy will keep you unsettled and you will never be able to live the spirit life of dominion. But with this mindset, you live above the pressures and the anxieties of this life as the Spirit guides you. You will live a life of faith in God and with faith you can never miss what God already has for you glory be to God.

Be Filled With The Spirit

Ephesians 5:18 AMP: Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), BUT BE filled WITH THE [HOLY] SPIRIT and CONSTANTLY GUIDED BY HIM.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is not for Pastors and Preachers. It is not for some Christians and not for some. It is for every born again believer. You cannot be born again without the Holy Spirit. You cannot live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, you are just an ordinary natural human being. It is the Holy Spirit that produces the divine life and nature in us. So we are instructed in our opening verse to be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit and be guided by Him. The best example of being filled with the Holy Spirit is the sail on a boat. The ancient boats never had an engine. They were driven by winds. They would mount the sail vertically on the boat and the boat will move as a result of the sea winds filling the sail and pushing the boat forward. So the winds were actually driving & controlling the movements of the boat. Jesus said in John 3:8 *”The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”* So everyone who is born again must be filled with the Holy Spirit and be yielded to Him to allow Him to control and guide your life. It is surrendering the steering wheel of your life to God by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you. Many believers are still controlled by the anger, desires, self-will, attitudes and personal emotions. This will definitely limit your life as your life will be rising and falling. You have to lay down your self-life and be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is the secret to a Victorious, overcoming, successful Christian life with consistent prosperity. So be filled with the Holy Spirit for without the Him, you can do nothing.
