[John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.]

In the above verse, the Master our Lord Jesus assured anyone who believes in His Word that they will never be condemned, for they have eternal life and have passed from death to life. If you believe in Jesus don’t entertain the fear of death. We are living in a generation where science has been exalted above the Word of God and that is dangerous. Many people have been condemed by scientific tests to diabetes, cancer, HIV etc. A sister was told ‘you have diabetes and you will live on drugs all your life.’ Jesus is assuring us in the above verse that any person who believes in Him, can never be put under such condemnation. It’s a high time every believer gave the Word of God it’s rightful place above human wisdom. We have to choose to believe God’s Word. This is God’s Word. That if you believe in Jesus and His Word, you can never be condemned to drugs the rest of your life. You can take this word, believe it and reject every condemnation in your life. For the just shall live by their faith. I decree over your life in Jesus Name that You have eternal life which is the Spirit life of the living God. You cannot therefore be condemned to sickness. You cannot even be condemned to death. For you have passed from death to life. You live Not in the realm of death, but in the realm of eternal life, where there is no death. Glory to God!!

[John 6:47NASB: Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes HAS ETERNAL LIFE.]

The above verse is a declaration by God Almighty that anyone who believes in Jesus has eternal life. Eternal life is the life of God. It is the Spirit life of the living God. It is the divine life. The moment you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you were born of God. John 1:13 says you were not born by the will of man but you were born of God. To be born of God means God is your Father. Jesus said in John 3:5 we were born of the Spirit of God – it is the Spirit of God that facilitated the new birth so we were born of God and therefore God is our Father. The child has the life of the Father so we have the life of God. So our opening verse declares this divine truth – the one who believes in Jesus Christ has eternal life, the divine spirit life of God. This is the truth we use to say no to sickness, depression and all these evils the enemy is imposing on our generation. When you pray, always be declaring “I have eternal life, the spirit life of the living God and therefore I refuse to be sick..i refuse to be depressed.. I refuse to be overwhelmed..etc” Be conscious of this life, and refuse to be subject to any form of sickness or evil for you are a child of God bearing His life and Nature.

[Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.]

Every believer has the divine life. John 6:47 says “He that believes has eternal life.” So It’s not a matter of “if” we have the divine life it’s a matter of “how” do we live this life. The divine life is the life of God. The Bible calls it eternal life or the Spirit life. God is a Spirit so His Life is Spirit Life. When we received Jesus as our Lord, we were born of God(John 1:12), born of the Spirit(John 3:5), so we received this spirit life of God. This spirit life is the life of God and therefore it is above sickness. This spirit life is above depression. It’s a life of dominion. So how do we live this life? Our opening verse reveals the life we live is determined by what we set our minds on. This is powerful! It’s like TV. To receive certain channels, you have to set your dish or aerial towards the desired station. To live the divine life, which is the Spirit life, you have to simply set your mind towards the things of the Spirit. That is why our generation is full of enticing carnal content that excites the flesh to make sure your mind is set on the things of the flesh. The enemy knows the key is what you set your mind on. To live the divine life, you have to radically set your mind on the things of the Spirit. In the next program we look at how do we do this. But determine to set your “antennae” to the things of the spirit and you will live the spirit life of dominion.

[John 3:15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.]

If you believe in Jesus and you are born again, filled with the Spirit of God, you have the life and Nature of God in you and therefore you cannot perish. That is what the Apostle John is revealing to us in our opening verse. Jesus Christ is the Son of God bearing the life and nature of God. So anyone who believes in Him and receives Him as Lord and Savior, receives the same life and the nature of God. The Bible refers to this as eternal life. This eternal life cannot perish. It is immune to destruction. It is immune to sickness and disease. If you give yourself to the Spirit of God He will teach you the mysteries of this life. Then you will realize all your fears have no foundation. You are in Christ and Christ is in you. You have become one with divinity, glory to God forever and ever.

[Psalm 119:92 Unless Your law had been uh my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction.]

If we can paraphrase the above verse, David was saying if I would not have discovered your word, I would have perished. God is unable to help us without the Word. If you have been diagnosed with a chronic condition, you need to discover the Word. If you discover the Word, you will live without any external help or remedy. Jesus said in Mathew 4:4 man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. The word carries the power to sustain our lives. John 6:63 says the Word of God is Spirit and life. The divine life is sustained by the Word. When Adam deviated from the Word, mankind began to perish. So if we go back to the Word, perishing is impossible. So meditate on the Word, affirm the Word, declare the Word over every situation and it will change.

[Romans 6:3NKJV: Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?]

To baptize means to immerse like the way you immerse a clothe under water. The best analogy is the way you immerse a white piece of clothe in a bucket containing red dye. The white clothe is immersed completely until the white color is absorbed by the red dye so the clothe becomes red.

The Bible talks of different types of Baptism. Jesus talked of water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism in Acts 1:5. In Romans 6:3 above, Paul talks of “Baptism into Christ.” He says “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?” (Romans 6:3).

This is not talking about water baptism because Water Baptism happens after salvation whereas Baptism into Christ happens at salvation and is done by the Holy Spirit. The moment you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit baptized you into Christ. So 1 Corinthians 12:13 says “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body…” So verse 27 says “Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.” So the “body” in verse 13 refers to the body of Christ is Christ and therefore by one Spirit, we were all baptized into the body of Christ. So baptism into Christ happened at salvation, water baptism happens after salvation. Water baptism is a symbol of this baptism into Christ.

So through the Holy Spirit, we were all baptized into Christ which means we were immersed into Christ. So 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “If anyone is “IN CHRIST..” So you were baptized into Christ and therefore your IN Christ.

Why is this important? This is important because when we were baptized into Christ, we received His life. In the same way the white piece of clothe is immersed in the red dye until it loses its color and adopts the red color of the dye, we too have been immersed into Christ and lost our lives and received the life of Christ. Now Christ died on the cross and was buried but on the third day, the Holy Spirit gave Him another life and He rose from the dead. So the life of Christ is the resurrection life. The life that came from death. So when we were baptized into Christ we received the same resurrection life of Christ that came out of death. The resurrection life is not subject to death again because it came out of death. So you too you are not subject to death.

This is why Jesus said in John 11:25-26KJV “… I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die…”. Understanding this revelation elevates the believer above death. No matter what you are facing, death has no power over you. As long as you are in Christ, you have the resurrection life of Christ and this life is beyond death. John 5:24 says you have passed from death to life and therefore you cannot die. If you hold on to this truth, and refuse to be swayed by anything or any one, you will live.

Always affirm this truth. Like Paul in Galatians 2:20NIV, always affirm “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’

[Romans 10:8: But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach)]

God created the entire universe through words. Hebrews 11:3 says *”By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God..”* This means everything came from the Word of God. Everything therefore responds to the Word. God created us in His image and likeness. So He has given us the privilege to create realities using words. Our opening verse says *”The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”* What is it that you need? It’s not outside you, it’s in your mouth. Healing is in your mouth. Wealth is in your mouth. Think about someone who is not yet saved. They need Jesus to save them but Romans 10:6 says they should not wonder who Willl ascend to the heaven to bring down Jesus to them so that they can be saved? The Word of salvation is in their mouth. Verse 9 says All they need to do is to believe in their heart and speak *with the mouth* and they will be saved. So even salvation is in the sinners mouth. What is it that you want to change? Find out what the Word of God says it, Meditate on it until it’s full in your heart and begin to speak it with your mouth and it will materialize, for God has made us to be partakers of His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) and He expects us to function like Him.

[1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.]

We all know all human beings are descendants of Adam so are all called ‘Binadamu’ which means born of Adam. However, our opening verse talks about a second Adam, Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says all who are in CHRIST are a new creation. The first creation is the generation of Adam, the new creation is the generation of our Lord Jesus Christ. So from God’s perspective, we are not Binadam, we are ‘Bin Christ.’ Let this be your consciousness for this is the key to living above the sinful human nature, generational diseases, & curses etc. For in Christ Jesus, you have been cut off from the old creation of Adam and you belong to the New Creation of the second Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ, glory to God!

[1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but INCORRUPTIBLE, through the WORD OF GOD which lives and abides forever,]

Salvation is not a change of character – I used to smoke and do this and that now I don’t. Salvation is a change of nature. When you were born again, you received a completely new nature – the spirit life and nature of God. This spirit life and nature is incorruptible. It cannot be corrupted by sickness, it cannot be corrupted by depression or any form of evil. Our opening verse says we were born again not of corruptible seed but of the *incorruptible* seed which is the Word of God. The nature of the seed determines the nature of the life. Since the seed we have been born from is incorruptible, our life and nature is incorruptible! If you have been diagnosed with an incurable condition fear not, there is a way out. If you are born again, the nature in you is incorruptible. If you establish this nature through meditation and affirmation, the condition will lose power over you. This is the glory of the end time church.. Glory to God.

[Genesis 2:7AMP Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.]

In our opening verse we discover something – After God created man, unlike with the animals, He breathed into his nostrils the Spirit of Life (the Holy Spirit) and man became a living being. So it is the Spirit that empowered man to become a living being. We were created to live Spirit empoweredlife. That is why when you got born again, the Holy Spirit came to live in us, to enable us to live the Spirit-empowered life. However, Romans 8:1 reveals though we all have the spirit empowered life as Christians, some Christians still live the carnal life that is controlled by the flesh. You have to choose to live the Spirit empowered life. A life that is yielded to the control and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Or else the flesh will control your life. Romans 8:13 says if you live a life that is controlled by the flesh you will die. So choose to live the Spirit empowered life and live a triumphant and victorious life.
