Romans 8:14 says “as many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.” Sons of God here refers to mature Son who has grown up to take his inheritance. So spiritual maturity is being led by the Spirit. How do you get started by being led by the Spirit? Begin with following God’s Word. Jesus guarantees us when we keep the Word, He and the Father will come and dwell in us. How does this happen? Thro the Holy Spirit. When we yield to the Word, the Holy Spirit will begin to guide us. If we neglect the Word, obviously we will not obey the Holy Spirit. So take the Word of God seriously. Know the Word and follow the Word, and the Holy Spirit will begin to guide you.
