[Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.]

In our opening verse, God commands us to sow ourselves for righteousness, and seek the Lord till He rains righteousness on us. Why is righteousness so important? Righteousness is our ticket for reighning. Remember, mankind was created to have dominion and rule on behalf of God. However, Satan deceived mankind into sin and consequently, mankind lost dominion. Sin is Satan’s strategy to strip mankind of dominion. That is why Satan today is investing heavily to push many into so sinful and sensual acts. It’s impossible to reign with sin in our lives. Remember David who had never lost a battle, when he committed adultery, his own son organized a coup and removed him from power and David who killed Goliath could not prevail against his own son. Sin stripped David of his dominion. So make no excuse for sin. Sow yourself to righteousness, seek the Lord until He rains His righteousness on you. Remember, in Christ Jesus, you have been made righteous so all you need to do is declare “in the name of Jesus, from today I will walk in righteousness,” then put away childish things and begin to reign.

[John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”]

Kenya is a Christian nation and to be born in a Christian nation has its own disadvantages. One of it is that it is possible to assume that you are a Christian just because since childhood you have been going to church and all along you have identified yourself as a Christian yet you have never been born again. No one is born as a Christian, whether you are born in a Christian nation or you are a Pastor’s son or daughter. There must come a day where you consciously choose to be born again. We become a Christian when we are born again. Jesus repeated 3 times we must be born again in John 3:3, 3:5 and 3:7. So there is no other way, regardless of how ‘good’ someone is, they must be born again to become a Christian. In Mark 1:15 Jesus added “repent and believe the gospel.” So repentance and faith in Jesus Christ are essential to begin our Christian life. Repentance is a deliberate inward decision to turn away from our sins and worldly lifestyle and turn to God. If you have never made this decision, no matter how long U have been going to church, you are not yet born again and therefore you are NOT a Christian according to the teachings of Jesus the Christ, the one whom all Christians follow. So repent and believe in Jesus from your heart, accept and confess Him to be he Lord and Savior of your life and be born again, that will mark the beginning of your Christian life.

Romans 8:14 says “as many as are led by the Spirit are the sons of God.” Sons of God here refers to mature Son who has grown up to take his inheritance. So spiritual maturity is being led by the Spirit. How do you get started by being led by the Spirit? Begin with following God’s Word. Jesus guarantees us when we keep the Word, He and the Father will come and dwell in us. How does this happen? Thro the Holy Spirit. When we yield to the Word, the Holy Spirit will begin to guide us. If we neglect the Word, obviously we will not obey the Holy Spirit. So take the Word of God seriously. Know the Word and follow the Word, and the Holy Spirit will begin to guide you.

[Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.]

We are living in a an evil generation where people are dying suddenly. You hear someone came from work, went to the gym, in the evening they are gone. In such a generation, you need to know where your stand. Both the natural and spiritual realms operates on laws. Laws are very powerful because they cannot be broken. For instance, the law of gravity cannot be broken. Our opening verse reveals two powerful laws that control life: the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus & the law of sin and death. God created mankind to live the spirit life that is based on the law of the Spirit of life so death had no power over mankind. However, when Adam sinned against God, all mankind came under the law of sin & death. So death gained a legal right to destroy anyone anytime. If u are not born again U are under this law. Death can visit U anytime and u cannot say no because laws cannot be broken. The good news is that Jesus Christ died in our place and set mankind free from the law of sin and death. He brought another law – the law of the Spirit of life. So when u receive Jesus and u become born again and the law of sin and death is broken. All who are in Christ Jesus are no longer under the law of sin and death, but they are under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. So now death cannot take u down just like that. However, as a believer, also know that the enemy rides on believer’s ignorance. If u don’t know this laws you will live in fear and the enemy will can take advantage of you. Understand & always affirm that as a born again believer, you are no longer under the law of sin and death. I decree over your life that death has no power over you. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set U free from the law of sin and death

[Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.]

You have heard it said that ‘as long as we are in this body, we will always sin… we will be sick.. ” This is NOT in the Bible, this is humanistic teaching which inteprets the Word of God based on human experience. The Word of God is not to be interpreted by human experience, we use the Word of God to change human experience. From the Bible, Jesus completely conquered the power of sin. Our opening verse clearly declares “For sin shall not have dominion over you..” Sin has no dominion over you for Jesus destroyed the power of sin completely. Sickness came as a result of sin so if Jesus destroyed the power of sin then similarly He destroyed the power of sickness. So sickness too has no dominion over you. No matter what you are struggling with, just believe the Word of God and begin to affirm it. In the world we are told don’t deny just accept the condition and manage it. From the word of God, we are told “make no provision for the flesh.” (Rm 13:14). Make no provision for sickness. Don’t accept sickness in your body. Begin to declare the Word over your body, don’t just submit to evil, begin to declare “sin has no dominion over me, sickness has no dominion over me, this condition has no dominion over me… I make no provision for sickness…. For Jesus destroyed its power over my life…” Sooner or later, the Word of God will prevail and your body will realign to the Word.

*[John 6:50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.]*

Have you been diagnosed with a terminal or incurable condition? There is hope – the bread of life. When you partake of this bread of life, you will never die. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the bread of life. He declared in our opening verse He is the bread of life that came down from heaven, and everyone who partakes of this bread shall never die. How is Jesus the bread of life? In verse 63, He said “.. the words that I speak are spirit and life.” So the words from the mouth of Jesus are spiritual food. In other words, just as the physical bread nourishes the physical body, His words are spiritual food that produces and sustains the spiritual life. Anyone who partakes of His Words receives this spiritual food for the spirit life and the spiritual life can never die. So if you are going to eat the Words of Jesus that partains to life, you can never die. He said in John 5:24 “He who hears My words.. And believes.. has eternal life… has passed from death to life.” So study and meditate on the words of Jesus, especially the gospel of John and most importantly believe – many read but they don’t believe. For instance John 3:16 says whoever believes in Him has eternal life and shall not perish. Some people read this and still believe the medical report that says they have terminal condition and are perishing. When you believe the report over the words of Jesus you have refused to eat the bread of life. But if you believe the Words of Jesus over the medical report, you have eaten the bread of life and you will not die. So eat the bread of life, study and believe the words of Jesus, and your spirit life will be nourished and prevail over every condition and you shall live.

John 3:16, John 5:24, John 8:51, John 10:17-18.

[John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.]

The outcome of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is outstanding. He made it possible for mankind to receive the Holy Spirit of God! When you believed in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit of God came to dwell in you. Our opening verse says It is this Holy Spirit that now gives us life. So the life in you is not the natural life, it is the spirit life of the Spirit of God. So you have a supernatural life. You don’t have to fear anything. You don’t have to submit to evil. The life in you is supernatural. It’s indestructible. It is the Spirit life of the living God. This is the same life that is in Christ. It makes you to prevail over sickness and over all kinds of evil. Acknowledge and affirm this reality. That the Holy Spirit giveth you the supernatural spirit life of the living God. Don’t let anything persuade you away from this truth. And you will live in dominion dominating the circumstances of this life, glory to God.

[1 Corinthians 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.]

Discipline is defined as self imposed standards for the sake of achieving a higher goal. Spiritual Disciplines are self imposed spiritual habits for the purpose of fostering spiritual growth. Without discipline, you can never achieve anything. Without spiritual discipline, you can never grow spiritually. Paul in our opening verse says “I discipline my body lest… I should.. be disqualified.” Without discipline, you will lose track. Discipline is something you do whether you feel like or not, whether it rains or not. Everyone in the Bible who was serious with God practiced spiritual disciplines. Daniel prayed 3 times a day. Isaac went to the fields to meditate in the evenings. These are examples of spiritual disciplines. Jesus practiced spiritual disciplines – He would leave multitudes and go to pray at specific times. This the discipline of prayer. You set times for prayer & whether U feel like or u don’t when that time comes U go to pray. There is the Discipline of studying the Word, Discipline of Fasting etc. Today is our Consecration Friday where we review our walk with the Lord and make adjustments. This week, how have been your prayer life? Have U been studying the Word? Check your spiritual life and make some serious decisions. Remember, your spiritual life is the core of your life. If your spiritual life dies, you are sunk especially in our perverted generation. Commit yourself to prayer and Fasting and let’s meet in the evening for prayers.

As we step into a new month the Lord is propelling you to the next level of your life. You will do great things and exert dominion over opposition. You will prevail over every opposing force and establish God’s purpose for your life. For it’s a season for change. Every small effort you make the Lord will magnify it into great outcome. Every lost opportunity will be restored. For we serve a God of second chance. Let your faith arise, dream big, give yourself to God’s Word, and watch your life explode into new dimensions.

[Philemon 1:6KJV: That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.]

Do u want to effective in your Christian life and make an impact for Christ? Our opening verse tells us how – you must acknowledge every good thing that is in you. One of the truth that you must acknowledge is the reality of the presence of the Holy Spirit in you. The believers at Corinth were having problems in their Christian walk, some were even struggling with gross immorality. So Paul asked them in

1 Corinthians 3:16 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” Paul was helping them to acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in them because this is key to living a victorious Christian life. If you have a gift but you don’t acknowledge it, you don’t value it and you ignore it, that gift will never help you. So you have the gift of the Holy Spirit in you. John 14:16-17 AMP reveals He is your Helper and strengthener, but if you don’t acknowledge His presence in you, you can never experience His strength. So always acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in U. Never confess failure, confusion or helplessness because when you do, you surpress His power in you. Confess His presence, His strength, His wisdom and the expression of your Christian life will be effective and Impactful.
